The Board of Control for Cricket in India, i.e. BCCI, has now clarified the entire situation in its statement on the ongoing news regarding the logos appearing on Team India’s jersey in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 starting from February 19. BCCI made it clear that it will follow all the guidelines given by ICC regarding the tournament, which will also include the official ICC logo on Team India’s jersey with Pakistan’s name printed on it.
BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia’s statement came out
Devjit Saikia, who recently took charge as BCCI Secretary, in his statement given to Cricbuzz regarding the logo to be printed on Team India’s jersey in the Champions Trophy 2025, said that we will follow all the rules of ICC. The Indian team’s jersey will also have the official logo of the Champions Trophy 2025. Whatever is the rule for all the teams, it is for us too. After this statement of Saikia came to light, now the controversy over the official logo on Team India’s jersey has come to an end.
Team India will play its matches in Dubai
After the official schedule of Champions Trophy 2025 came, it became clear that Team India will play all its matches on the ground of Dubai. This time the Champions Trophy will be organized from 19 February to 9 March. The Indian team will play its first match against Bangladesh on 20 February, while on 23 February it will face the Pakistan team, while on 2 March the Indian team will play its last group match against New Zealand. If Team India succeeds in reaching the finals of this tournament, then it will play the title match on the ground of Dubai only.
