8th pay commission: The 8th Pay Commission has been announced in January 2024 and is likely to be implemented soon. Through this commission, revision will be done in salary, pension and allowances of central government employees and pensioners. If the fitment factor of the workers is 1.92, then there will be a minimum increase of Rs 15,044 among the employees of Level 1. Level 1 comes from a peon (multi -tasking staff) to clerk.
How much salary increased first?
So far, a new pay commission has been applied every 10 years.
6th Pay Commission (2006): The minimum salary was increased from Rs 2,750 to Rs 7,000.
7th Pay Commission (2016): It was increased from Rs 7,000 to Rs 18,000.

What is a fitment factor?
The fitment factor is a multiplier, which is converted to new salary in new salary.
New salary = old salary × fitment factor
7th Pay Commission: Fitment Factor was 2.57
Example: 10,000 × 2.57 = 25,700
8th Pay Commission: According to reports, the fitment factor can be between 1.92 and 1.96.
How much will the salary of Level-1 employees increase?
Level-1 consists of posts like Peon, Clerk, MTS.
If the fitment factor is 1.92, their salary may increase by about Rs 15,000 monthly.

In 7th Pay Commission: Net salary was available about Rs 37,854
This may increase in the 8th Pay Commission: 15,044 rupees can be monthly.
If the fitment factor in the 8th Pay Commission is fixed between 1.92 and 1.96, then the salary of Level-1 employees may increase by up to 40%. However, the final decision will be taken only after the recommendations of the Central Government and the Commission.
