Vidarbha vs Kerala, Ranji Trophy Final 2025: The final match of Ranji Trophy 2024-25 is being played between Kerala and Vidarbha. In the first innings against Kerala, Harsh took three important wickets for 88 runs. With this, he became the highest wicket -taking bowler in a season in the history of Ranji Trophy. This season he has taken a total of 69 wickets so far. He has demolished the record of Ashutosh Aman of Bihar. Ashutosh took a total of 68 wickets in the season 2018-19. But now this record has been left behind.
Harsh Dubey caught Aditya Sarwate in the first slip and took his 67th wicket in the current season of the Ranji Trophy. He then equaled Nizzar’s LBW out of Lunch and equaled the record of taking 68 wickets in a season of Bihar’s Ashutosh Aman. However, he had to sweat a lot for his third wicket. He made a record of taking the most wickets in the Ranji season by dismissing MD Nidhish LBW.
Vidarbha gained 37 runs
Vidarbha’s team scored 379 runs while batting first. Danish Malevar then scored the highest 153 runs for the team. Apart from him, Karun Nair contributed 86 runs. After this, the entire team of Kerala was all out for 342 runs. In this way Vidarbha got a significant lead of 37 runs in the first innings.
Sachin Baby missed a century with two runs
Kerala captain Sachin Baby (98) missed a century by two runs while veteran Aditya Sarwate scored a brilliant innings of 79 runs in 185 balls. While Salman Nizar (21 runs) and Mohammad Azharuddin (34 runs) could not convert their good start into a big score.
