Adani Power’s Subsidari Company- Adani Power Jharkhand Limited (APJL) supplies electricity to the neighboring country Bangladesh. “We have so far sent a bill of about $ 200 million in total,” Dilip Jha said during the quarterly results. Out of this, we have already received $ 120 million. We have also sent $ 13.6 million LPS (late payment surcharge). ”
The company planned capital expenditure of Rs 13,307 crore for FY 2025-26
Electricity is provided to Bangladesh from APJL’s 1600 MW Ultra-Supreme Critical Thermal Power Plant located in Godda, Jharkhand. Dilip Jha said that the company’s total outstanding outstanding on Bangladesh is about 90 million US $ 90 million. Regarding the company’s capital expenditure scheme, Dilip Jha said that the company has planned Rs 13,307 crore for FY 2025-26, which is more than Rs 8000 crore spent in FY 2024-25.
Adani Power is supplying full electricity to Bangladesh
Adani Power CEO S. B. Khyalia said that the company is supplying full electricity to Bangladesh and there was never any such issue, due to which the supply had to be stopped. He said, “The outstanding amount in the last quarter has decreased by about Rs 500 crore. Therefore, the payment that the company is getting now is more than the monthly billing. ”He said in response to this question whether Adani Power has stopped supply of electricity to Bangladesh due to dues.
